BREXIT Customs Clearances Dover / Purfleet / Killingholme / Teesport

The UK’s decision to trigger Article 50, leave the Single Market and the Customs Union will fundamentally change UK border controls. BREXIT will significantly affect Customs Clearance procedures.

BREXIT will impact all importers transporting goods into the UK and exporters moving goods out of the UK.

From the 1st January 2021 you will be required to submit an Import or Export declaration. It is estimated that an extra 50,000 customs entry staff will have to be employed in the UK to submit the additional declarations required. This may lead, in the short and medium term, to an over demand for customs support.
